India takes near unbeatable lead over England

Kanpur: India again defeated England by 16 runs in the third onedayer played at Kanpur. Through the victory came through Duckworth-Lewis method as bad light halted the game in the 40th over of India innings. Skiper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was batting on 29 in the company of Yusuf Pathan on 12. When the match was stopped India needed just below run-a-ball while chasing 241 in 49 overs. With the win India takes a commanding lead over the seven-match series with four matches left.

Earlier India stopped England from progressing much. Offie Harbhajan Singh took three important wickets which included dangerous looking Kevin Petersen and Paul Collingwood.
