Colombo: The fourth One Day International of the Idea Cup between India and Sri Lanka at the Premadasa stadium has been delayed to reserve day following continuous downpour in the city. The match will be now played on Wednesday. The match was postponed without a single bowl being bowled. The covers were put on at 1 pm and remained there as play was eventually called off just before 6. With whether condition not favoring playing condition, the officials were forced to use the reserve day.
Earlier in the day, Indian skipper MS Dhoni expressed confidence of thrashing the host to clinch the series. The match was seen to be crucial for Sri Lanka as they are already down in the series after the shameful defeat in the third match.
After being thrashed by Sri Lanka in the first match, team India made a stunning comeback in the series and defeat the host in consecutive matches to take a lead of 2-1.
