New Delhi: A day after the tapes of the sting operation in the cash for vote scam were aired, the main Opposition party and epicenter of the whole operation, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today claimed that the footages shown have reinstated the party's view-point on the issue. The party said that every single frame of the video, shot to 'expose' efforts to purchase Members of Parliament before the trust vote, matched the complaints put-forth by the 'whistle blower MPs' before the Speaker.

"It has been proved now that the Manmohan Singh government survived by adopting every possible corrupt measures. The charge of procurement of MPs was given to Amar Singh. The tapes re-established the proofs presented by the BJP against the Samajwadi Party leaders," said party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad.

He emphasised over appropriate action against the culprits as the documentary proofs have been presented before the nation. The party has been demanding to make the tape public in the very beginning when the sting operation was conducted. Now it is calling for impartial action to bring the defaulters to book and take the operation to its logical end.

"The BJP is expecting that the special committee formulated to investigate the matter, will raise above the political divide and a decision would be taken and people like Amar Singh would be punished," said the spokesperson.

He also sought an apology from Congress-led UPA government who, he said, misled and lied before the nation. "Now on whom Lalu Prasad would like to conduct the narco-test? Amar Singh or Sanjeev Saxena?" He also demanded to bring Sanjeev Saxena, who was seen bringing the cash to the house of Ashok Argal in the footage, before the public.

He also demanded a thorough inquiry into the allegations against Railway Minister Lalu Yadav for providing jobs against land given to his family members. He also added that the Minister should be removed or at least suspended from the Cabinet.
