New Delhi: The BJP today said it would raise the issue of terrorism and make a bid to embarrass the government for the non-inclusion of this "crucial issue" on the agenda of the National Integration Council (NIC) meet to be held tomorrow. The core group of the party which met today at the residence of party leader L K Advani has decided to stall the proceedings of the NIC meeting if the government does not yield to its demand of the inclusion of terrorism as an agenda in the meeting.

"The country today is faced with the dreaded issue of terrorism and it is unfortunate and surprising that the government of the day has found it a non-issue in the NIC meeting," party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said. As per sources, the party leadership has decided to use the platform to amplify their poll campaign which revolves around terrorism and price hike.

"Terrorism and price hike are the two issues which the country and its people are suffering from. I would ask you all to vote for BJP to put an end to the sufferings," party's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani has repeatedly said in his 'Vijay Sankalp' rallies across the country. The other issues discussed in the core group today pertained to the party's preparations for the ensuing assembly and the Lok Sabha polls. (PTI)
