New Year Special
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
                   Alfred, Lord Tennyson
It is time to say goodbye to the year 2006 and welcome the New Year 2007 with new hopes. 2006 is fading away leaving behind lots of memories relating to events, incidents and experiences, both good and bad? But we are not worried about it as we look forward to the New Year, when we can improve on our mistakes made in past and make a new beginning. T.S. Eliot has rightly said, "For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning."

What makes New Year so special? Doesn’t it come every year?

This is the question some of us may ask. It is not a difficult question to answer. Every beginning is special and this is what makes New Year so special. Life always welcomes change to recreate and rejuvenate itself. New Year is that change, when we try to recreate ourselves and make life more better. It is the time of the year when we are ready to forget bad things, forgive bad people and hope for the best in every field of life. A time when despite all the problems and failures we are not ready to give in. New year is the excuse to give us new hope a new beginning with extra energy. So why not celebrate this change with open arms and embrace the New Year with a big broad smile. It is the time to welcome the New Year 2007 with a new jest for life and with a positive mind.
