INLD, the principal Opposition party in Haryana, had snapped ties with NDA in February 2004. Announcing the tie-up, BJP president Rajnath Singh, senior BJP leader L K Advani and INLD supremo Om Prakash Chautala said the main objective of the alliance was to push the Congress-led UPA out of power.</description>

<description><b>Islamabad:</b> The Kashmir trade pact finalised by Pakistan and India is a &#34;big achievement&#34; that will have a &#34;far-reaching&#34; effect on improving bilateral ties, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said today. &#34;One should not underestimate this development as it will have a far-reaching impact as far as economic integration to facilitate the Kashmiri people is concerned,&#34; Qureshi told reporters in the eastern city of Multan. The composite dialogue between Pakistan and India had entered its fifth round and the intra-Kashmir trade pact was a big achievement on the path to improving ties with India, he said.</description>

Referring to the reports of Nanavati and Banerjee Commissions, NHRC chairperson Justice S Rajendra Babu said it was not appropriate for any inquiry commission to submit a partial report considering its wide ramifications. &#34;One thing is normally not done is partial report.</description>

<description><b>New Delhi:</b> The global financial crisis may force the Reserve Bank to delay the road-map for further liberalising the banking sector by six to eight months from the scheduled date of April, 2009, a Finance Ministry official said. &#34;Opening of the banking sector to foreign players could be delayed by 6-8 months due to present uncertain global times,&#34; the official on the condition of anonymity said. The RBI is slated to review its policy on the foreign banks in April, 2009, which now could be delayed.</description>

Speaking to private news channel in an interview, Modi alleged that the formation of Banerjee Commission was planned by railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav with political motive.

He said that questions had been raised on Banerjee Commission's expenditures during its one and a half year tenure, whereas Nanavati Commission submitted its initial report in six years at much lesser expenditure.</description>

Chidambaram is not attending this year's Annual Meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group to make himself available for tackling any situation arising out of the spreading global financial crisis and its ripple effect on India.</description>

Subbarao was representing Chidambaram, who cancelled his visit to assuage fears at home about the global financial storm hitting the Indian shores.</description>

<description><b>Washington:</b> India has declared that it is bound by only the bilateral 123 Agreement sealing its civil nuclear deal with the US and expressed confidence that Washington too will implement it &#34;in good faith&#34; under international law. &#34;The Agreement reflects a careful balance of rights and obligations for both parties, India's External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said at a press conference in the Capital on Friday after signing the agreement with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

<p></p>&#34;We intend to implement this Agreement in good faith and in accordance with the principles of international law and I am confident that the US will also do the same,&#34; he said, asserting &#34;its provisions are now legally binding on both sides once the Agreement enters into force&#34;.</description>
