“Block heels and platform heels are out of fashion for women this season. More in demand are flats, stilettos and tie-up shoes and sandals”, says Abhishek Dutta. He adds, “For men, the shoes – formal or semi-formal – have become really pointed this season”. Agnimitra Paul says, “Low-waisted belts worn over dresses and tunics are a must this season. These belts can be with metal embellishments or soft, feminine embroidery”. Adds Dutta, “The belts in fashion this season are broad, and with a lot of work”.

In bags, oversized “Jholas” are very happening this season. Abhishek Dutta says, “Large handbags and sling bags are very much in demand this season. These bags come in a lot of metallic hues, and foil prints on leather are being used boldly on these bags as well”.

The Overall Look

This season, the emphasis is on a simple, realistic look. So both fashion designers advise young men and women to keep the look more natural, and not go overboard with make-up and accessories. “The clothes, accessories and make-up should be stylish, but not too heavy. This must be kept in mind when dressing up this season”, concludes Agnimitra Paul.
