New Delhi: The forensic test report of September 29 Malegaon blast, which killed two persons and injured 35 others, confirmed that RDX and TNT (Trinitrotoluene) were used along with Ammonium Nitrate, a forensic expert told
Headlines India exclusively. The bomb particles collected from the Bhiku Chowk blast site was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Mumbai and the final report would possibly be disclosed by Monday, said the expert on condition of anonymity.
The expert said that forensic tests conducted on the samples of May 2007 Mecca Masjid blast revealed that RDX and TNT (Trinitrotoluene) were used. "The material obtained from the sample collected from Malegaon blast site turned out to be similar to that obtained from Mecca Masjid blast site in Hyderabad," the expert revealed.
Clashes between locals and police broke out after the blast in Malegaon which forced the police to resort to firing to disperse the stone pelting mob. On September 29, there was another blast at Modasa town of Gujarat's Sabarkantha district which killed one a 15 year old boy and injured 13 others.
