Siliguri: There is potential to increase tea trade between India and China, China Tea Marketing Association (CTMA) vice-chairman Jahn Litan said on Sunday. In an interactive session with the Confederation of Indian Industry yesterday, he said CTMA could play a vital role to boost export and import of the beverage between the two countries if there was positive response from India. CTMA information officer Zhu Zhonghai, who visited several tea gardens in the Darjeeling hills along with its delegation, lauded the quality produced, particularly its flavour which according to him would win the hearts of the tea-loving population of china. West Bengal Minister for Municipal Affairs and Urban Development Ashok Bhattacharya was also present at the interactive session. (PTI)
